This 3-CD box presents the incredible dense work of Swedish improvising masters, Roland Keijser and Raymond Strid. They have both taken music to new levels – in different times and directions – throughout their long and wide artistic life, being front figures for Swedish creative music internationally and important inspiration for new generations of creative artists. This long-awaited master meeting gives a melodic blend of
traditional Swedish folk songs and original compositions/improvisations of varied characters where a certain amount of Afro-American accents as well as recurring echoes of Turkish, Indian, Chinese and Arabic inflections might be detected. Needless to say, their special interpretations/arrangements of these diverse points of departure are always spontaneous collective creations out of each particular evening’s unique atmosphere. Nothing else. The box includes texts in details about the music and writings about the musicians.
